aching
a five year old
can't fall in love,
but they can love.
they know who
to cry for
and who
to cry about.
they know their parents
and siblings,
but they also know
friends.
even in your older years
you can still remember
a childhood friend.
but you were not
just a childhood friend
i am almost an adult
and i still
ache for you
like a 5 year old
aches for it’s mother.
