Love, To be Yourself
They say, running away
 From love
 Is like running away
 From a box
 Which has only been
 Half opened
And the discovery of the Treasures
 Hidden in it remains incomplete
 They say, running away
 From your emotions
 Which you ought to feel
 Restraining yourself
 And turning away from
 Your own feelings
Is like being inside a glass coffin
 Where you are straining
 Yourself to breathe
 They say, running away
 From loving someone
 Is like only half discovering
 Your own Self

 But I say, running away
 From love
 Is like running away
 From your own Self
 And shutting yourself out
 From the pain
 You ought to feel
 And turning away from
 Nourishing and replenishing
Your soul with what it needs
 Satisfaction…
 Hence you must love
 And be gentle, grateful
 And generous
 To the extent of
 Becoming poor yourself
 In order to become rich
 And complete your Self
To become what you must be.
