thoughts of dirt, seeds in my mind
did you see the white of the snow at night?
it all looks pretty dark without light.
the wind- it blows.
carries drifts off to wherever they go.
my breath- it’s froze.
a loss, I’m told, be sure.
nothing grows in this season,
but the soil will spring up things strange and sad in the spring.
I’ve already felt
the fall seeds fall up my spine.
my brain’ll fertilize em real nice.
Soon they’ll sprout,
whip n’ twirl back up my back, like a vine.
Branches will shoot out through the dirt,
(head and feet in reverse)
the leaves’ll blossom in the underworld.
God knows the thoughts of dirt the chloroplast will transfer.
