The Story Of Life
Words drip across the page
Like spilled ink, wriggling, bleeding
Cutting through the ice
Deliberately placed
Carefully chosen
One after the other
A marching band
Or a parade of soldiers
Slowly, at first, careful not to fall
Then faster, sprinting from the mind
And falling into glassy white
They spin a tale
A tale of gold
So rare it’s priceless
Watch it splatter
Watch it create
Watch your mind come to life before your eyes
It spills across the page
Black and scarlet and cyan and gold
Trickling down like rain
Crashing like thunder
Striking like lightning
Everyone has a tale to tell
What is yours?
