Listen to me.
Please please please,
Listen.
I'm writing because I am afraid
I'm afraid that if I
Don't try
No one will ever understand.
I'm terrified I may actually be
Alone here.
I'm scared because I'm sixteen
And my dreams are colossal.
They're growing exponentially and,
Feel like my way out of the intricacy
Of my consciousness.
But lately they've reached a point
So high
I fear they might burn up,
Among the stars.
Stars
Galaxies
Universes
I'm scared because
In my knowledge
I've lost the face of God
Now I stare at the reality of it all
We're all just a glorious accident
My life
Has no more meaning than
Tiny ants existing only to survive
To eat
To breathe
To stay warm.
My joy and sadness and anger
They mean nothing
Yet I am afraid
I am insignificant and I am afraid.
Is anybody listening?
