"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing." -Benjamin Franklin

There was a little bird.
He sat in a corner;
His eyes were as blue as the sky
Blue lakes and rivers.

Never learned to fly;
Laughs and gasps.
But there was one,
The snake.

Hate vs. Love,
Sadness v.s. Happiness.
White paper,
No choice.
Risk,
Bad choice.

Good night little bird,
Your light's off.

I was inspired to write this poem when I met a shy girl who seemed as she was being devoured by the other girls at school everyday. She is the little blue bird who is lost and ends up hanging out with the wrong people.
