Grade-school Talking-heads question
Why we aren't
Hand-in-hand today
Like yesterday,
Before.
I asked them if it's lonely,
Being no more than
Disembodied noses
Five feet from the ground.
Surely they'd drift away
Like lost balloons,
If not for being
Firmly jammed into
All our misfortunes.
