The beauty of spiders- what of that?
Like an automaton built in another realm,
Like a shadow moving in silence through the dark.
Not of great stature like those with a spine,
But with great variation on their diminutive size,
Wherever they're found they rule their small world.
(Tarantula, Trapdoor)
These ancient artifacts
Of a time long since passed,
Shall be kings in this world on their silken thrones
Long after we have perished.
They will continue to face adversity
In their stalwart way.
