Tense silence descends upon the land as they prepare for what's to come./The sky dons its gown of rolling grey/And the sun hides his face,/For this wild celebration is not for his fiery eyes./The silence shatters/And the world falls into a frenzy of madness.

The trees reach high, stretching their branches,/Ecstatically proclaiming devotion to her./The winds sing words of praise,/Howling their allegiance to the uppermost vaults of the sky.

The world whirls into a mad frenzy./A frenzy of living and dying/Breathing and feeding/Running and hunting.

The storm laughs as the world whirls around her/And all partake in her dance./In her frenzied celebration of life,/Existence,/And what it means to be alive.

With this poem I was trying to capture the energy shown in a storm. I have always loved storms and I wanted to write a poem about them.
