Slipping Away MAG
the only memory
I have
is her walking out the door,
slipping away
like loose sand escaping
from my clutched fist
minutes pass,
but time stands still,
as if it were trying to mock me
every day more hope slips
away
like the girl, like the sand, like the time
that escaped
