This morning I woke up
with pain in my heart
the pain of feeling unimportant
the same pain
that takes lives
from those who feel the same way I do

This morning I woke up
with an aching in my mind
the same echoing thoughts
bouncing around inside of my head
that have convinced me before
I am not good enough

This morning I woke up
with a plague in my soul
the same darkness
that has crept
into so many other beings
impatiently causing
chaotic thoughts of death

This morning I woke up
with a fiery hatred for myself
and my body
the same hatred
that suffocates others
with feelings of loneliness
