Poor boy,
He coughs and tries not to cough,
A hot hand is squeezing his lungs,
He must not wake the others,
He’ll get a beating.
These days everyone is sick with something,
sick of payless work,
sick of the king,
sick of France,
sick of life.
Poor boy,
All he wants to do is sleep,
But his life is stuck between
Revolution.
