What is love
Honestly
What is it
People toss the word around
Laugh and poke at it
They beam it at someone
They think they “love”
Oh, love
Silly love
What is love?
Is it the motivation to rise
And the eagerness to move
You don’t incite yourself
Do you?
For love prompts me
And love makes me who I am
For he loves me so
And makes me breathe
Is love everything
Is love so important you’d lay your life down
And solemnly swear upon forever
Is that what love is?
Love, love,
Oh, foolish love
One day you’ll make someone happy
