Save Me
I can’t…
I keep saying this to myself.
Kill yourself.
This keeps popping in.
To die today, or tomorrow, or later?
I just didn’t know what to do.
Satisfied?
It keeps telling me.
An hour or two went on like this.
It didn’t get any better, only because I knew,
As dusk fell, darkness gathered.
Slowly a dark figure shows up, but I don’t know what it is.
Don’t you recognize me?
I couldn’t think of who or what it was.
Surely it was a dream.
There was no other answer.
My father’s voice drew me from my thoughts.
I was awake, but it wasn’t over.
The night was long and never ending.
And this was just the beginning.
