Toys Are Just Toys
“Toys are just toys,”
called out an adult.
But every child knew
that that was not true.
For all them sensed
when the clock struck twelve
the monsters reached their
DOOM.
As the teddy bears got up,
their swords in their hands
OR
The pretty dolls,
got out of their heels
AND
The cute baby dolls,
started to crawl.
The child slept safely
With no regrets at all.
They fought a heavy battle
And won.
For the child was still there
when sunlight hit land.
But on the other side of the globe,
there were no toys.
So have you ever thought,
Where the child without a toy had gone?
