“I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

She watches as the blood swells and slides down her hand.
She releases her emotions.
She cries.
The world is over.
No emotions.
Emotions cost too much.
No happiness.
Happiness bleeds to pain.
Whishing only wounds the heart.
Hope is an all-consuming flame.
Today is death.
The mourning of feelings.
The blood stops.
Until the pain becomes too much
And she releases it again.

This was about a friend of mine that was really close to taking her own life. We got her help she's doing better now.

"Respect existence or expect resistance"

The poem had a good rhythm, and was very enticing. It held a lot of tension and emotion in just a few short words, and with it, thought provoking meaning. The fact that you drew from your own experiences is great, and the first-hand awareness of the described situation is apparent, adding to the emotion and meaning of the piece. Well done!
