Last Words
Those last words you told me,
how wrong they seemed to me.
I felt so hurt and angry,
my world turned upside down.
And then I began to see the light,
that the darkness had an end.
Slowly regaining my foothold,
life started looking pretty swell.
But then you came back to me,
told it was just one big mistake.
But then I remembered those last words,
couldn’t deal with that again.
So then I say to you, with all sincerity.
Goodbye for now, goodbye for forever.
