As time goes on

I see my life

Innocent as a kid

But not treated right

No mother in sight

Dad in a fright

Six months old

A baby girl

Skinny and weak

Thrown to the side

Then she starts to grow

As she gets older

It gets harder but happier

She has blossomed into a girl

Always happy and care free

Then she turns 15

She wishes for a mother

She feels unlovable

She starts to change

Now she is a monster

But what can he do

Nothing

Maybe if he yells and screams

But no that makes it worse

Love might help

But he has no clue

She doesn't feel worthy

She feels like trash

Maybe he can listen

But no that's to hard

Now she is 16

And he is closed out

He doesn't recognize his little girl

She has grown up

Maybe to fast

She doesn't need him any more

But that's not true

She needs him more than ever

Just a hug and I love you

Will do

But no he has no clue

All she wants is for him to listen

For him to care

But I guess that's to hard

His little girl cries herself to sleep

Feeling worthless

And weak

That is life

Or what is has become

So please please

Tell your girl you love her

And never leave.
