rejection
Rejection
It flows like an endless river of pain
 Seeping through all my shame
 Tear soaked memories
Forgotten love lost in an endless sea
As I try to recoil my all my strength
 It pushes me back under
I drown in it hoping to be rescued
 But it is too late
 I have died
 My heart is broken
 Forever unfixable
As I think of the red stains
 I have left behind
On the couch of love and life
 I am seeking nothing more
Than to go on and be rejected
Like a dollar from a vending machine
Like a bottle from a full baby’s mouth
I am nothing more than a worthless heart loss in
A range of loved and loss seas as the memories
Fade on in unknown I drone on to ask myself why did
They do this to me let this happen to me
Then I ask myself why I ever would have had to trust a roaming heart on the break of disappointment
Why this and why that whatever this is
 Don’t make it last forever.
