Wonder

Sometimes I wonder, what it’s like to wonder. My life is cut and dry, black and white, good and evil. There are no hard decisions, no gray, no reading between the lines.
I wonder and I wonder, what it’s like to wonder where your next meal is coming from. Because I can’t relate to those people who go hungry when I have the luxury to be picky.
I wonder and I wonder, what it’s like to have a real problem. Because my mom will scream at my dad, and I’ll feel like I’m about to explode. The next day everythings normal.
What if it wasn’t?
I wonder and I wonder, what it would be like to live in fear.
I wonder and I wonder. And I don’t have to wonder what it’s like to wonder anymore.
Because I know.
I know so well what it’s like to wonder,
That I don’t think I’ll ever know what it’s like to live.

I don't feel justified when I have emotions. This piece is an outlet for me to let go of the guilt. It's hard to know that so many people are suffering.
