Mother's Day
Ever since the time of birth
they were there,
cradling us like fragile glasses, unbroken.
Our lives complete their destiny.
Their needs are greater than ours.
Fed, clothed,
showered and sheltered.
We were pampered all of our lives,
until their job taught us
no more pampering.
Their mission,
to be there for us no matter what.
When we were hurt,
they were there.
When we felt alone and needed some advice,
they never left our side.
They are our friends, family, and part of us when we least expect it.
Our own mothers.
With all the hard work,
comes a day of relaxation.
But why stop there for appreciation is continuous.
So instead of one cherished day,
let Mother’s Day be everyday.
They were there for us,
now it’s our turn.
Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and hope your are appreciated everyday!
