To Drown & Be Forgotten
The waves crash over your head,
but no one knows.
No one cares. Why should they?
Why would they? Your head
Bobs up and down, like
It weighs nothing at all.
You gasp for breath, but
In return you receive
A mouthful of distasteful, Poisonous water that
Then fills your lungs.
This is what you wanted.
To be forgotten.
That's what's happening.
The world goes on around
you, but it doesn't matter
because you lost consciousness.
Of the world.
Of everything.
The water consumes you,
And you sink to the oceans
Habitat below the surface.
It's colder at the bottom,
Where your body lays on the sand
Surrounded by the unknown.
The oblivion.
