rapacious thunder rumbles
in the mountains
the whole sky is conspiring
into storm
your image turns in my head
obfuscated like the sun
behind dark clouds
lightning curls, flickers, flashes
piercing

I long for your touch
on my skin
dampened
by anxiety
I stumble outside
rain douses me
sweet, hard rain drops
drumming on my skin
wets the needy earth
I hold my breath
and lose the feeling
that I’m alone
amorousness sweeps me
