Ode To Gerard Way
At 11:30 AM
the bell will ring (it sounds bad)
and lunch will commence. I’ll eat
sometimes, but usually, I don’t.
There was this girl on a day
when I ate
who always drew a pretty great picture
of something abstract,
and she listened to your voice. I’d heard it before
on the radio, driving to the beach
and somehow I grasped the idea of Revenge! (crazy, I know)
But really, a year or so after that
I had a little tiff with my brain
and I tried to off myself. Seriously! (again, crazy)
But for some reason, well, somehow,
you convinced me not to do it. Really,
So, thanks, Gerard. P.S.
I hope this wasn’t weird or anything.
