why are people so cruel?
for no reason but the joy in hurting others?
to get pleasure from such pain
unthinkable

I am not cruel
I mean no harm

however
the ends justify the means

unthinkable (for evil is evil)
necessary (for you, sir, are as evil as I)

I was inspired by e.e. cummings. I love the poem "i carry your heart with me(i carry it in, " and I wanted to use parentheses in a poem.

All I can say, look at the poem "i carry your heart(i carry it in" by e.e. cummings. It is beautiful. It's where I got the inspiration for the parentheses.

I like the meaning behind this, but I don't see the point of the brackets at the end and the fact that none of the first words are capitalized annoys me. However, I like the emotive language and it's very true. I also love the picture that goes with this, very appropriate :)

Love the language used, keep on writing.
