floating: a dust mote
blocking his view.
He would never leave
them, join the renegade group…
What were you thinking?
Selling your soul to one
as cruel as him.
He was your entire universe,
I know that now.
But he left you,
floating—
a million pieces
drifting out of sight
out of mind.
