You Are
You’re not a name,
Not a weight,
Not a height,
Not a gender,
You’re not an age,
You’re not a copy.
You are the books you love,
The song ready to be written,
Your 3am thoughts,
Your made up scenarios.
You’re the good in bad,
You are your voice, ready to be heard.
You’re not a loser,
Not a label,
Not a want-to-be.
You’re not a no body,
You’re a somebody.
You’re 100 things better.
But everyone chooses to see the 1000 things you’re not.
I know you,
I know you’re more than that.
You’re not where you have been,
You are where you are going.
And I plan to go with you.
