"We know what we are, but not what we may be" - Shakespeare

You seem so
familiar
to me
we had never met
before the day
somehow you
made me realize
that I have galaxies
in my heart
to not believe the
statement
I cannot shine
without the dark
I would be constellations
trying to form into
stars
you’ve read my
sorrows from
page to page
you see this skin
torn pages from
books within
you seem so
familiar to me
when I felt like
cutting my flesh
I took out the felt pen
and drew a
butterfly on my
wrist
named it after you
if I cut through
I’d be cutting
you too
I learnt that not
all heroes wear capes
they don’t always
shoot out webs
from their fingers
and sometimes
sarcasm and hugs
is the greatest superpower
of all.
