We will die of littering
Litter is all around us
While we plead clean
The earth is dying slowly
And we, unsuspecting, unaware
The blow is about to fall
We won’t die from a flood
Or a storm from above
Or a quaking ground
But we’ll die slowly
Suffocating to death
Under the oppressive weight
Of our own litter!
