I Want You to Part the Seas
I want my melodies to vibrate throughout your body, to lift you up to the heavens and place you on a star. If at all possible, I desire that my words live on long after they are born. When the music fades, or ends in a crescendo, I hope that you are still sitting on that star. Let my harmonies transport you to wherever they may, to make you remember a day long forgotten, to make you smile, or to make you cry. I do not wish to force my words upon you; please do not mistake my desire to be remembered for arrogance. I only hope that my words make a lasting impression, good, bad, or otherwise.
I want my words to give you power. As you strain your ears to hear the one note that always sends chills throughout your body, lift up your skirt and strike the water, parting the seas. Walk between the walls of water that form, hold your head up high like the warrior that you are, and become the ruler of your own land.
