Saying it is much easier than doing it.
You were never really a part of my life,
But it's so hard to say goodbye.
It's so hard to let you go.
Even though, the memory of you is starting to get blurrier. . .
It's still hard to let you go.

I've now started getting used to the fact
That you're never going to come back.
That I'll never get to be your little girl,
For you're on the other side of the world.
I've exchanged my childhood to be a grownup, when you left.
But there's still a little girl inside me.
A little girl wanting to be daddy's little girl.

I exchanged my childhood for a grownup's world, so I could help.
So I could help, ease the hurting
That sprang between us, a family.
But the little girl is still here in me,
And she and I are finding it both hard to let you go.
Even though, you weren't really there for me, I still love you.
But I have to say goodbye; I have to let you go.

Wow I can't believe I didn't see this! That was so emotional and deep I loved it ^_^ I wish I could be helpful with easing the pain It makes me sad to see so innocent people getting so much hurt and being able to do anything. This poem was so beautiful and sad that I had tears in my eyes while reading it. You truly have the talent to put your feelings into words and really strong words :) Keep writing and thanks for sharing this my dear ^_^

This is completely flawless, and it truly gives way to my heart. :) I hope you grow up to become a best selling author with award winning poetry books, because this, is something the world nees to read. Never give up, and push on through the haters, because internally, every single one of them is cheering for you. They just don't want to admit how amazing you are! XD

This is beautifully written, I love it. It had a nice flow and it gives a picture to be painted in the depths of your mind. Absolutely incredible. Never give up writing, you have a true gift here hun

This poem is absolutely beautiful. it made me sit and think about many things that are going on in my life right now and for some reason, the flow gave me a calm peace. very good job.   also, could you check out some of my work? i'd love the feedback- don't be afraid to be harsh.    P.S. I just want to explain, that the poem I wrote "I Have to Let You Go; I Have to say Goodbye" isn't about saying goodbye to one of my parents. It's actually saying goodbye to the daydream, that we would all be together and live happily ever after. That one of parents could still parent me, even when far away. My parent can still love me and still parent me, it's just I have to say goodbye (and I don't want to!) to the daydream I wove around me. To the imaginary world, that won't be real for awhile. But I found out that I can be in a much wonderful world, than I imagined. It's hard having one parent, but despite the downs in my life, I would still have my own life. Because it's my life, my own story. I hope someone, will be able to understand this because lol, this isn't making sense to me, a little.
