A Summer Sunset
The sun sets, the sky filled with
bright hues of orange, red, and pink. The birds trill one last song
and then the woods go silent. Stars begin to fill the sky, tiny specks shining as the sun begins to fall from the Earth. Small blades of grass sprout from between my toes, my blue nail polish standing out against the green. The wind blows softly, rustling the grass. The darkness falls and the stars shine, silvery diamonds lighting up the sky.
