Pop the Bubble
It’s easy to escape.
Blindfold your eyes and ear-plug your ears.
Ignore people.
Blow a bubble around yourself and hide inside it.
There’s not much to do, nowhere to go,
Besides rolling around in a sudsy hemisphere.
The world’s outside,
Never ceasing to find new seeds of strife
With chaos and corruption abound,
The bubble means no cowardice.
The world is frightening
But so is your bubble
Your mind liquefies; you’re deluded
Your ganglia are numbed
But, while frightening is the world
Beautiful it is too
Rich with life and living and love
Which cannot penetrate your opaque encasement.
Surface foam refracts energy
From entering your isolated existence
So wake up
Pop the bubble
