I Give Up on You

Look at me for the last time,
as I stand here and Give up on you.
But before I do, I beg
Can I save the meaning of the words,
You said to me the last time I met you.

Look at me as I stand here,
Yes, I Give up on you.
But before I do, I beg
Can I keep the warmth of your smile,
you gave me every time I looked at you.

Look here, I look strong and static,
Inside so shattered as I Give up on you.
But before I do, I beg
Can I just hold on to that touch of yours,
I felt every time I said a goodbye to you.

Look I keep telling you, Just this last time,
as I stand here and Give up on you.
But before I do, I beg
Can I tell you that I Wish I never had to.

I really like your use of repitition, it gives your poem a nice flow. You have captured the emotion in a moment like this really well.

this captures how it feels to finally give up hope in someone and how much it hurts. you linger on every memory. very good writing
