I realized I had to move on.
To step forward.
Every second of my life
Was worth living.
My breaths were numbered
And my heart would only beat
For so long,
But I was living now.

I may not be in the next year,
Next month,
Next day.
But I was alive now.
And I was ready to move on.
I'm not going to stop.

I'm going to live in every moment,
Every second,
Until my heart cannot beat any longer.
Until I take a final breath.

I will move forward,
Keep walking.
I may not have a purpose;
I may not know where I am going.
But at least I'm going somewhere.

I'm not stuck in the past.
My feet are no longer glued to the floor.
My red footprints are going
Somewhere others can follow.
Somewhere where there are no memories
Of any pain,
Of suffering,
Of sadness.
I'm out of that hell and on my way to paradise.

I can't be controlled.
I am the water, dripping
Through the hands of those who try to withhold me,
Rushing through every hole,
Every crack,
Exploding forward.

I can't be tamed.
I am the fire, burning
Through everything in my path,
Blazing so bright
You have to shield your eyes.

My head is high
And I'm flying,
Soaring,
And I can't be brought down.
My feet set fire to the Earth
As I walk on.
Away from the past.
Because my final breath has not come yet.

I am alive.
I will move on.
