How much space you consume
Blanketing the dichotomy
Between land and space.

A semi-permeable barrier
Suspending between what we know
And what we don’t.

You are the wishes of children
The location of their dreams
The place of gods.

As the sun and moon set and rise
Come and disappear
You are always above
You are reliable.

How vast you are,
Yet how heavy you are not.
How important you are,
Yet how you will extend
To the ends of the earth
To deny it.
