She catches us by surprise
And scoops us with her gentle fingers
Refusing to release her hold.
And yet sometimes we fall
Straight from her grasp.
Some plummet to the gravel
Some slowly drift to their feet
Dusting themselves off as they walk away
Nobly.
Some refuse to let go
Dangling
Suspending in mid air.
And sometimes her grip is enough to strangle us
And we wish to leave but can’t.

Yet more so Love just cups us in her hands
And both she and we
Are content.

Well I gotta say that I didn't quiet get it at first but seeing your reply to KylineF kind of made clearer! I might sound a little stupid but I gotta be honest so... ^_^ Other than that it was so symbolic and true !! I loved it

No worries. The she referred to in this poem is a personification of love. For example love catches us by surprise, sometimes we fall out of love (in this poem, one falls out if Love's hands), etc. Hope that helped!
