I awake with the same reminder
As the sun seeps through
The cracks in my shudders
Inherently warm and consistently bright
Just like you
By my side, lighting up the way
Even while the clouds were always near
You broke through
Guiding me in the rain
Sprinkling your light on the way
And I know I am truly lucky
Because even the sunlight fades away
But as night crept up
You chose to stay
