Drinks from Misery MAG
Sadness and I walked into a bar last night,
Misery was serving cocktails.
“On the house,” she told us.
Sadness and I had one hell of a day,
so we decided to drink from Misery.
If I hadn’t gotten so drunk with Sadness,
I wouldn’t have had to call Sorrow
for a ride back home.
Now my hangover sucks
and Ignorance keeps leaving me messages:
“Call back when you can,
I’ll be waiting in the framed reflection,
just try and smile back once in a while.”
It seems Joy is having a great time without me,
honeymooning with Happiness,
sipping cocktails after Misery ends her shift.
After I’ve finished my reckless consumption of her.
And so Sadness and I walked into a bar last night,
to find Misery serving everyone drinks.
That’s when everything fell apart for me,
but not for Sadness.
