desks and chairs
I sit in my chair
at my desk
pushed next to three other desks
each with their own students
there are other identical pods of desks
all scattered about the room
on the same floor
and next to this room
is another room
the same desks
the same chairs
and next to that room
is another
and all of these identical rooms
with all of their desks and chairs and students
are in a school
and that school is one of many schools
all operating under the state
one state of many
and those states make up a country
a country named freedom
a country filled with desks and chairs
in their own little classrooms
and there are schools all around the world
in different countries
in different continents
with only one common factor
planet earth
earth isn’t alone
earth, with all of its desks and chairs
planets are abundant
planets and stars and nebulae
orbiting each other
drawn to each other
all part of a bigger picture
galaxies
full of their planets and stars
and all in the ultimate location
the universe
and in the universe there are desks and chairs
and students sitting in those chairs
all grouped together in their little pods of desks
and I am
alone

When I finished writing this, I realized that it sounds kind of self-centered, but I didn't mean it that way.
