This Is What You Do To Me
I take a sip of iced coffee
and remember how your mouth
tasted like cigarettes and newfound hope.
I flashback to our boddies glued together by pressure and sweat.
It makes me feel homesick.
I feel your lips press against my forehead, nose, lips.
Your face comes into focus and you smile down at me
my heart flutters like a welcome mat in a breeze.
I imagine warm water cascading down our bodies
as you hold my face and say, "this is what you do to me."
