Thousand Mile Sky
  Wait at the top, attentive,
  Moments left to live,
  Or would I soar,
Probably not, I think as I stare at the sidewalk far below,
Imagining my body crumpled below in gore,
  A splash quite unnoticed,
  So I jump,
  Greater and more free,
Than the birds flying above me,
  Farther and farther,
  Higher and higher they climb,
As farther and farther I fall,
  Through the thousand mile sky.
