I waver,
Barely holding composure
In the misty twilight
Until dawn
When I feel
My energy returning –
Stretching, forming, growing,
Snatching up nosy dogs
And warm tiles
Reaching out for
Any interaction, any acknowledgement
Yet ignored
And forgotten
I collapse into
A mere sliver of color
Desperately grasping the
Sweaty heels of my owner
