They Had Ever Known
I saw a scene
A happening
That was simply baffling
a home
a fire
That had a desire
to contimue consuming
The only place they had ever known
It was gone
It was missing
Turned into nothing
As the fire kept consuming
reaching and grabbing
The only things they had ever known
Tears spilled from the eyes-
of the worried children who cried
This was a nightmare they could never wake up from
As everyone say
All of it go
Everything they had ever known
