And Came Love
They sat across at a table.
She stared at him.
He stared at her.
He had not been this quiet before.
She was the quiet type, so she waited.
He looked in her eyes.
He told her he can not stop thinking about her.
She was speechless.
She wanted to run away.
Her heart was beating fast.
She did not know how to respond.
He told her he liked her.
She knew it all along.
He reached for her hands.
She stood still.
He quickly pulled back.
Things were escalating.
He said, “Forgive me for my inappropriate behavior.”
She said, “I forgive you, it is okay.”
Finally she told him, “I like you too.”
They said goodbye.
She did not know what to do.
She called her best friend and told her everything.
They had met in school.
He made the first move.
She responded yet ignored.
He persisted.
She opened up.
They became friends.
They talked, had lunch sometimes.
She knew he liked her.
He could not stop thinking about her.
They met again.
She looked at him.
He stared in her eyes, happily.
First step was made.
She thought about it then told him.
She requested to ask her parents for her hand.
Over otherwise.
She told her mom about this guy.
Her mom was shocked.
All she could do was tell.
He came the next day.
It was all new.
She let him talk.
She sat across.
Her parents did not know how to respond.
What a circumstance.
Her parents thought.
He had paused.
He wanted to be with her.
She wanted to be with him.
They waited.
Her parents said yes.
She was obedient,
And came love.
