“There is the great lesson of 'Beauty and the Beast,' that a thing must be loved before it is lovable.”
― G.K. Chesterton

She lay on the floor
Beaten and worned
Broken and frayed
The radiant hope
Always ablaze
But that hope gave away
When the pain invades
A spark unlit

This is the end
A horrid final draw
Tears stain her face
They will forever remain
A blade in her hand
A sole final stand

Depression dragged her
Anorexia gagged her
And they
Now they
They tossed her in the raging river
To drown

Life would simply be better without
Her horrid grace
Only tainted fake sorrow
Will stain their face

She's ready to fly
Drift away with the wind
Or even
Having the empty void
Of being simply nothing
In this vast world

She longed for
Grasped for
This perception
She takes a deep breath
No time for regrets

She makes the cut
One, two, three
Crimson lines of misery
Four, five, six
Pills of forever darkness
The shadows invade
Regrets has been made
This is forever
The grueling tragic end
