I can still hear you
Even though you left me a year ago I can still hear you. I hear your laugh. I can hear you telling me your famous jokes to make me smile. I can still see you standing by our favorite oak tree at the top of the hill waiting for me. I can sill feel you standing by my side. You always had my back even when I didn't beileve in my self. I could count on you for anything anytime I needed you. You knew you could do the same. But I guess you forgot. That day you locked yourself in your room and wrote me the letter. The next day your mom told me the news and handed me the letter. I cried. And cried. And cried. I still cry even as I write this poem I cry. But then I hear you tell me we'll meet again one day. I hear you laugh. I see you smile. I go to our tree and sit and pray that one day we'll meet again. I miss you! I hope you can still see me smile. Hear me laugh. And feel me standing by your side.
