Yesterday my name was Larysa
Today, my name is Veni
I will walk upon the golden steps
and make my presence known.
Today, my name is Vidi.
I will see the sun rise and the sun fall
I will see the moons kiss goodnight
and the stars rumble and call.
Today, my name is Vici.
I will conquer the high-top mountains
to hear the wind murmur and whisper
I will conquer the oceans hiss and pull
as it bubbles and churns toward the
winter’s shore
I will conquer the quiet towns glistening
with each a candle’s glow.
And I will conquer the Earth’s rotation
and bring it to a slow.

For those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will fly on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

I find that this poem paints a beautiful picture, and provides an amazing goal for emerging writers.

"What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" (Paarthurnax, Fourth Era)

Beautifully written - I am very poor at doing so, but I will try my best to understand the meaning of this piece. Perhaps, is it that the writer's impact will have such a trendemous effect on the Earth that he/she will do all that is stated (metaphorically)?
