Sisterly Bond
Sisters should be there for each other,
loving and caring for one another,
but where is the love that we should share?
Yelling and screaming,
fighting and scratching.
Where is the love and the bond we once shared?
Once happy,
once smiling,
but now we hate and we scowl.
Where is the love and the bond we shared?
We played and we danced,
we laughed and we cried.
I miss that bond,
that bond we shared.
Now you ignore me,
and I ignore you.
So now I ask you:
where is that special bond?
That bond we once shared?
As children, we had tea parties
with tiny little paper cakes,
but now we barely talk,
and you slap my face.
You lie to me.
You don’t trust me,
but I miss you, so much, sissy.
So I ask once again,
where is the love and the bond we shared?
I know it once was there.

I always wondered why my sister became so indifferent towards me, so I wrote her this poem.
