The breeze brushes by,

Softly, almost joyfully.

Then, when I think I'll be

All right, an enraged wind emerges,

Shakes away my hopes of survival,

And then my life comes to an end.

I hit the ground below with a soft,

Gentle touch, and I'm gone,

Forever.

I love how you tell the story of a leaf in such a new way. It takes talent to turn something simple and common into something deep and beautiful.

I love the descriptions. The way you described the moment before and after the leaf falls is absolutely mesmerizing, and I've never told anyone that their work was mesmerizing before. This is really beautiful.
